i-Prompter for iPad and i-Prompt Pro
New from Datavision is the i-Prompter for iPad and i-Prompt Pro, an exciting new hardware and software combination that utilises the power and functionality of the Apple iPad to transform it into a professional, fully-featured teleprompter which is ideal for all location work, especially newsgathering. Therefore, it is no surprise that since its appearance at this year’s NAB the i-Prompter for iPad has attracted the attention of the world’s major television news companies.
Used in conjunction with Datavision’s i-Control wired controller, the Datavision range of i-Prompters can be controlled from a distance of up to three metres to enable starting the prompting script, increasing or decreasing the scrolling speed and place markers within the text so presenters know where to go next.
This Datavision package has all the components to support fast script downloads via wifi or USB connectivity and, through the in-built text editor, provides the user with instant script editing and timing.
The fully customisable prompting screen display, together with the ultra smooth text scrolling adapts to both landscape and portrait modes with mirrored or standard text alignments.
With the correct font choice and the i-Control wired controller, text can be viewed and controlled from up to 3 metres away giving the user the script management they need.
By using pro 60/40 beam splitting glass the Datavision i-Prompter is ideal for daylight viewing. Thi i-Prompter for iPad can be used on and off lens for below camera lens use with Reflectmedia™ and Datavideo™ chromakey systems.
In addition the i-Prompt Pro software can drive external displays using the VGA or Composite video cables available for the iPad
The i-Prompter for iPad is available now at £399 plus VAT and includes the i-Control wired controller, which can be purchased separately at £69 plus VAT for stand alone use with i-Prompt Pro software.
Other teleprompt software from Datavision is the i-Prompt for iPod Touch and iPhone which is finding a big market in such areas as corporate video productions, ‘info-mercials’, video blogs, podcasts and all types of public event speaking as well as location reporting. These are also used in conjunction with i-Control and the earlier released i-Prompter and i-Prompter Pro lens mount Teleprompters.
