i-Prompter Pro
Q: What is the difference between the i-Prompter and the i-Prompter Pro.
A: The i-Prompter supports cameras with lenses up to 43mm (46mm with optional adaptor) where as the i-Prompter Pro supports lenses up to 77mm (82mm with optional adaptor). The i-Prompter Pro also supports the use of standard 15mm mounting rails to allow for internal focus lenses.
Q: How do I get the scripts into i-Prompt?
A: Currently the software supports input via e-mail (copy & paste) and USB transfer via i-Tunes. The upcoming i-Prompt Live software will support full web based script management via a subscription or FTP script download without.
Q: What versions of the software is available?
A: i-Prompt is the App for the i-Phone and i-Pod touch, i-Prompt Pro is the App for the i-Pad and the upcoming i-Prompt Live will be a App supported by both platforms.
Q: How do I control the script?
A: All our i-Prompter kits come supplied with our custom wired i-Control controller. If you have just downloaded the App or purchased an i-Mount you can purchase the remote separately from this website.
Q: What languages does i-Prompt support?
A: i-Prompt is fully Unicode compatible so will support and language that the Apple OS is set to.
Q: Will you be releasing a derivative of i-Prompt for other non Apple phones?
A: Yes i-Prompt Live for Android will be released in November 2011.
Q: Can I play the script through a video out cable?
A: Yes on the i-Pad the i-Prompt Live! software supports both VGA and Composite output. It also works too on i-Prompt Pro if you purchase the i-Control wired controller.
Q: My wired remote has stopped working, the LED lights but nothing happens. What can I do?
A: This is usually caused by dirt getting into the headphone jack socket, try and clean out the jack using compressed air.
Q: I have a double image, what can I do?
A: Ensure the beam-splitter glass is the correct way around, the side marked with a green dot should face the talent.
