1). Do the prompters ship with remote control?
Yes all our i-prompters ship with wireless remote controllers using Infrared adaptors supplied. The i-Prompter Pro ships with the new i-Prompt Control wired remote for fuller text control using the latest version of i-Prompt software.
2). Can I buy an i-Prompter without the iPod Touch?
Yes i-Prompters are now only available without a display device so customers who already own an iPod Touch or indeed an iPhone are set to go with i-Prompter straight out the box.
3). Which cameras can the prompters work with?
Most camcorders and DSLR cameras are suitable, we have two lens mount prompters in the range, i-Prompter for cameras with lens diameters below 46mm and i-Prompter Pro for the range from 46mm up to 82mm.
4). How do I get the software application?
Customers ordering the i-Prompter or i-Prompter Pro can download the software from the i-Tunes App store for free. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/i-prompt/id336844826?mt=8
5). What filter ring thread sizes are available for the i-Prompter?
The i-Prompter ships with 3 adaptors to cover the most popular handheld camcorders and palmcorders with filter rings threads. Base adaptor thread size is 43mm, adaptor 1 makes 40.5mm, adaptor 2 makes 37mm and adaptor 3 makes 30.5mm. The i-Prompter Pro ships with 3 adaptors to cover the most popular professional camcorders with filter rings threads. Base adaptor thread size is 77mm, adaptor 1 makes 72mm, adaptor 2 makes 55mm and adaptor 3 makes 52mm. Other sizes are available at the i-prompter.com store.
6). How do I use different language scripts?
All our scripting software for all products are multi-lingual as indeed are the display devices. They will reflect the language that the device is set to.
7). How do I get my scripts from my computer into the i-Prompter?
You can create/copy/edit scripts on any PC/MAC text editing program, then email to your iPod Touch or iPhone and use the ‘cut & paste’ feature to copy to the i-Prompt software application. You can also copy files directly via bluetooth or Wi-Fi (although you may need additional file transfer software for that, many are available online). You can also type directly into the i-Prompt application via the device's own on-screen touch keyboard.
8). How much are they to buy?
Prices in GB£ excluding VAT are i-Prompter £349, i-Prompter Pro £499 and i-Mount £39. The new i-Prompt Control can be purchased for £69 plus VAT.
9). Do I need a separate computer to run the prompters?
No, all our prompters are designed to work directly from your iPod Touch or iPhone so no other PC or notebook is required, just point & prompt, ships ready to scroll straight from the box.
10). What languages do the prompters work with?
According to the Apple website the iPhone and iPod Touch used in the i-Prompter and i-Prompter Pro will handle the following foreign languages:
English (U.S), English (UK), French (France), German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Arabic, Thai, Czech, Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Malay, Romanian, Slovak, and Croatian.
